New Health Bowls Debut at YC’s Mongolian Grill on May 18
Free Health Bowls for the First 50 Guests at Each Valley Location May 18
Scottsdale.com was excited to preview some of the five new Health Bowls that will make their big debut on May 18 at all five Valley locations of YC’s Mongolian Grill. For those not familiar with the fun and delicious dining concept, YC’s Mongolian Grill lets guests create their own customized Mongolian inspired stir-fry. Ingredients include a huge variety of proteins, veggies, sauces and more.
Recently, YC’s Mongolian Grill worked with a registered dietician to develop five unique bowls designed to address the uniquely healthy way that people are eating now. One of the bowls we previewed was the Plethora of Protein bowl with chicken and beef, kale, baby corn, broccoli, mushrooms, summer squash, spinach and green beans. We also chose to add a few peanuts to give this bowl some extra protein and flavor. The sauce was a delicious combo of lemongrass and spicy Thai sauce. One way YC’s helps to keep the Healthy Bowls on the healthy size is to portion control the specific sauces for the bowls.

Another wonderful bowl we tried was the Carb Refuel Grain-Style bowl. This bowl was packed with beef, green onions, carrots, water chestnuts, broccoli, mushrooms, cabbage, asparagus and brown rice that we requested at the grill station, plus a tasty hoisin sauce. When you go to the grill to get your bowl cooked, let the grill ninja know and the grilling surface will be scraped clean so as to start with a “fresh grill.”
Once you have your delicious Health Bowl served up, other food items available after the grill station include soups, fried wontons, sodas and teas, and a frozen yogurt station. Although if sticking to a specific diet, your Health Bowl will be all you need!
