It’s Almost Time… Big Changes Are Taking Place at Macayo’s Mexican Restaurant in Mesa
Author: Lynette Carrington
Macayo’s Restaurant in Mesa is a memorable location for family dining, exciting parties and romantic dinners on the patio overlooking the water. Even in the middle of remodeling, the restaurant is still open and everyone is getting excited for the upcoming grand re-opening.
Director of Marketing and Brand Management for Macayo’s, Ashley Negron explains, “It’s going really well! Right now, it’s slated for all the construction elements to be completed by the end of January, any last minute details and décor will be done by the first week of February and our grand re-opening is scheduled for February 9.”Until then, the restaurant is open regular hours and nearly all interior construction activity takes place outside of dining hours.
There are many wonderful upgrades, additions and aesthetic improvements taking place during the remodel including resurfaced tables, new chairs and booths, an intimate upstairs patio, front patio and new landscaping. The lower floor will also include a tall, dramatic wall featuring some gorgeous Mexican plates. The addition of a designated take-out window will be a welcome bonus for those who want to order by phone, come in, and grab their food and go. Corporate events and parties are always in high demand at Macayo’s because of the staff’s exceptional customer service and the wide variety of meeting and party spaces available in one expansive location.
There are many new cocktails that have recently been added to the Macayo’s beverage program and several new tequilas will be introduced in the coming months. Some new menu items that were originally rolled out at Macayo’s in Scottsdale several months ago will also be introduced at the Mesa Macayo’s, plus some chef’s specials. “Rolled tacos, Mexican corn and churros are now rolled out and will be featured through Christmas,” says Negron. “Then we’ll continue with the rolled tacos and bring out the Bosio’s shrimp and fried avocado through January 15. After that, we’ll have the Bosio’s shrimp, jicama shrimp tacos and tinga quesadilla through the grand re-opening.” In gently introducing these stellar new menu items, current guests at Macayo’s will have the chance to leave their feedback prior to the public grand re-opening.
